BACKGROUND
This New England FBO originally contacted Groome Industrial to request our preventive maintenance and inspection services for their hangar door. While carrying out our services, the hangar door was found to be in need of weather seal replacements.
OBJECTIVE
Groome’s door division’s goal was to install replacement weather seal systems on the hangar door. Results of this service hoped to be a reduction in overall heating costs.
SOLUTION
Groome Industrial’s team of engineers researched, sourced, and received exact replacements of the current weather sealing system. We then mobilized to the jobsite to complete the change out of the failing weather seals.
RESULTS
Groome worked quickly and efficiently to successfully replace all weather seals on the hangar door system. In the first month following the repair the client saw a 15% Yr/Yr reduction in gas consumption related to the heating of the hangar and a 20% Yr/Yr reduction after the second month.
